COMPLIANCE CA PROP 65

Welcome to our California Proposition 65 Compliance Statement page, where we demonstrate our commitment to safety by providing clear information about chemicals in our products, ensuring your peace of mind.
In 1986, California voters approved Proposition 65, an initiative known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act. Updated regulations went into effect in 2018. The law requires California to publish a list of chemicals known to cause cancer or reproductive harm and for businesses with 10 or more employees to provide warning labels on products that may contain any of the 900 listed chemicals, which the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) deems to be a health hazard. Proposition 65 does not ban or restrict the use of chemicals on the list. The new warnings are intended to help Californians make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals from the products they use. This list does not give any indication or recommendation on exposure levels.

How do we manage this?

Golden State Box Factory takes the health of our employees and our customers very seriously. We are vigilant about the equipment we use to manufacture our products and the quality and compliance of our raw materials regarding health and sustainability.

While it is not practical for Golden State Box Factory to test every order for every chemical listed on the Prop 65 we might use, we do comply with the law of California and post this statement with the following warning information and Prop 65 links on our website for our customers’ awareness.

⚠️ WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including wood dust, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer or birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov/furniture
